Dr. Laura Niesen de Abruña, Provost and Executive Vice President for 学术事务
Dr. Laura Niesen de Abruña began serving as 密歇根州立大学丹佛’s chief academic officer on January 25, 2024.
担任教务长, Niesen de Abruña oversees academic activities throughout the university, with direct responsibility for developing, delivering and evaluating academic programs, as well as related policies and procedures. She is also responsible for the promotion, 任期内, and retention processes, and other faculty related procedures.
Dr. Niesen de Abruña has served as provost for four other institutions of higher learning and has spent years in the classroom as an accomplished professor of English.
她获得了博士学位.D. in English Language and Literature from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She holds two masters’ degrees: a Master of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, and a Master of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. Niesen de Abruña earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Smith College.
