需求 for Student Employees

本科 Student Employment 需求

• 学生 should be at least 18 years of age to be considered for student employment.
  • 学生 under the age of 18 who are interested in working for the University 人力资源联系吗.   
• 学生 都必须 be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours for each semester – 秋天 and 春天,除非 it is the last semester before the student graduates. 
• 学生 must also maintain a semester GPA of at least 2.0 to remain in the student employment program at 密歇根州立大学丹佛.
  • Current student employees who have 秋天en below this 2.0 GPA requirement are allowed a one semester probation.
• Not all positions at campus requires work-study funding.

夏季就业

• For 夏天 employment: Work-Study 学生 must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours to receive a work-study award. 
  • Hourly Student Employees are not required to be enrolled in 夏天 classes if they enrolled for the 秋天 semester. 
  • 然而, if student employees are not enrolled in at least 6 credit hours, they will be enrolled in the Student Employee Retirement Plan (SERP) administered by TIAA.  

国际 Student Employment 需求

• Student should be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Anyone under 18, should contact Human Resources prior to being hired.
• 必须提交一份完整的 Employment Eligibility Form for 国际学生 to the 人力资源厅 every semester they intend to work on-campus.
  • Form must be signed by the Coordinator for 国际 Student 支持 from the Office of the 注册商.
• 学生 are required to be enrolled full-time, 12 credit hours for undergraduate and 6 credit hours for graduate, during the 秋天 and 春天 semesters.
• They must also maintain a semester GPA of at least 2.0 to remain in the student employment program at 密歇根州立大学丹佛.
  • A one semester of probation is allowed for current student employees who have 秋天en below this requirement.
• For 夏天, they may work during the 夏天 semester if they are not enrolled in classes. 然而, they must provide proof of enrollment for the following 秋天 semester.
• 国际学生 will also need a Social Security Card.

研究生 Student Employment 需求

• Must submit proof of registration in a graduate program, including the number of credits.
• 研究生 students taking fewer than five credit hours during the 秋天 or 春天 semester or taking less than three credit hours during the 夏天 semester will be enrolled in the Student Employee Retirement Plan (SERP)

毕业的学生 Employment 需求

学生 who just graduated are allowed to work up to one semester after graduation, for the same department that they have been employed with.

• If they will be graduating in the
  • 夏天, they are eligible to work in the 秋天.
  • 秋天, they may work the following 春天 semester.
  • 春天, the student may work either the 夏天 or the 秋天 after graduation, but not both.
